Whitner is a long shot to receive a Buckeye offer, and he knows it. Right now, Illinois is in good position, but I expect that Dawaun will take at least some of his official visits. Remember, current Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio helped to recruit Dawaun's older brother, Donte, to Columbus when he was defensive coordinator at Ohio State. That connection could work in the Spartans favor. |

By BN...Coach Johnson was at Glenville this week and met with Dawawn. Waiting on his test score to see if OSU will release the schollie they are holding. If not, he says he will likely accept the offer from Illinois.

From the MSU site. Whitner can not take any visits until he gets his grades in order, which he has not yet. Ohio State, Michigan State, Illinois, West Virginia and Minnesota make up his top five.
