Corey loved his visit to ASU and says there is an appeal to playing that close to home. However, he says he could be setting up his tOSU visit tonight and has to sort through everything before making a decision.

By Jardy...will officially visit OSU and USC then announce at halftime of the Under Armour game on 1/4. His coach thinks it's down to SC, Ohio State and Arizona State (meaning Nebraska is out) and says he is getting heat from his teammates committed to ASU but he says it hasn't had any effect on Corey.

Under Armour All-American defensive tackle Corey Adams has made official visits to Nebraska and Arizona State and is planning a trip to USC in December. But Adams' official visit to Ohio State this weekend when the Buckeyes host Penn State in a prime-time showdown game is going to be key to where Adams ends up according to his high school coach.

"This weekend will tell the tale," Saguaro coach John Sanders said. "I don't think he will need to visit USC to know where he wants to go."

The 6-foot-3, 277-pound Adams, the No. 52 prospect in the ESPNU 150, has the ability to be an impact player at the next level. He is one of a half dozen key prospects the Buckeyes are pursuing to complete what is already an outstanding recruiting class.

What Scouts Inc. looks for: Stopping the run may be viewed as the primary responsibility of the defensive tackle. How it is done depends on the ability of the players and the scheme they play in. Some may be asked to be two-gap defensive tackles and eat up blocks; this makes it easier for linebackers to get to the ball. Others may be asked to be one-gap defensive tackles; this requires DTs to get off the ball and make plays themselves.

1. Corey Adams

Adams is also a productive pass-rusher, but we like this kid's game versus the run more. He is not a big run-plugger, but he has the frame to develop into a physical monster. The strength of his game is mixing smart play with ability. He has good feet to step quickly into gaps or move laterally along the line of scrimmage. He uses his hands well and will get them on blockers. We like how he gets into a gap and breaks down. He is not a defensive tackle who wildly runs upfield hoping to run into the ball. He gets into the gap, stays square, shuffles, locates the ball, and is athletic enough to react and make the play. He does a good job of taking on blocks and should be even tougher to move off the ball as he continues to develop physically. Adams is a good defensive tackle and tough against the run.
