By Bill "Bank" Greene...Hall talks about each of the schools at the top of his list (Ohio State, Illinois, LSU, Miami, Michigan, and USC). He states he will be making his decision closer to signing day.

Marcus says he is sorta down to Illinois, Ohio State and Michigan, but Miami, LSU, and possibly USC are still possible.

ESPN - Wisconsin looks outside its state borders - Football Recruiting

Quote:
The top prospect from the state of Ohio that has yet to select a college is Cleveland Glenville offensive lineman Marcus Hall. Hall plans to take at least some of his official visits before he selects a college, but don't be surprised if his decision ultimately comes down to either Ohio State or Illinois. Those two and Michigan are Hall's current top three choices, ahead of Miami and LSU.

Scout$-Hall Looks Ahead To Playoffs, Visits

10/12

Marcus is not focusing on recruiting and will visit Ohio State, Illinois, LSU and Miami(FL).

ESPN - 2009 a down year for Ohio offensive skill prospects - Football Recruiting

Quote:
Top recruit

Marcus Hall, offensive tackle

Glenville HS (Cleveland)
Considering: Illinois, Miami (FL), Ohio State, Michigan and others

It is rare that a state's top prospect is an offensive lineman, but it happened in 2006 with Andre Smith in Alabama. At 6-foot-5, 290 pounds, Marcus Hall is a powerful, mammoth-looking offensive tackle who certainly looks the part and can be an overpowering prospect at the point of attack. It should be no surprise that high school powerhouse Glenville is producing the state's top player, though usually its best are skill players like Ray Small, Ted Ginn or even Cordale Scott from the 2008 class.

It is kind of nice to see one of the "big uglies" get some top billing, and while Hall can be very raw and is further advanced as a run blocker as opposed to a pass protector, he does possess all the physical tools to be able to develop into a top-notch offensive lineman in college. We are not convinced he will end up at left tackle -- it will probably be right tackle and maybe even guard -- but his size and overall power is what intrigues coaches

ESPN - Midwest Recruiting Blog

Quote:
Uncommitted offensive lineman Marcus Hall (Cleveland/Glenville) led a huge group of prospects in Ohio Stadium Saturday night on unofficial visits. Hall seemed to echo the sentiments of just about all of the prospects in attendance, saying he was very impressed despite the Buckeyes' loss.

"The atmosphere was great," Hall said. "We got to do the walk in front of the team from the hotel to the 'Skull Session.' It was crazy how many people know Glenville and know us individually."

The Ohio State offensive line had trouble opening holes for the running game against Penn State, which in the long run could help the Buckeyes' cause in regards to landing Hall.

"It was a good game by Ohio State's defense," Hall said. "The offense struggled a little, mainly the offensive line. It looks like the opportunity to play is there. After the performance [Saturday night] and seeing how many seniors [on the line] are leaving, that thought was in my head."

The 6-foot-6, 300-pound Hall has scheduled an official visit to Ohio State for the weekend of Dec. 5. In addition to Ohio State, Hall will visit Miami the weekend of Dec. 12.

"Illinois will be sometime in January," he said. "LSU hasn't been set up, but that's another one I'll visit. I'm thinking about Alabama or Penn State for my fifth one. I plan to take all five visits."
