Tight end Ra'Shede Hageman (Minneapolis/Washburn) is set to make his first official visit this weekend. He won't have far to go; he's visiting the Minnesota Gophers. He also has visits set to Wisconsin Oct. 4 when the Badgers play Ohio State, and Ohio State Oct. 11 when the Buckeyes play Purdue. Hageman has narrowed things down to those three schools.

Ra'Shede Hageman, a 6-6, 260-pound Minneapolis Washburn tight end who is the Gophers' top-sought in-state football recruit, attended Saturday's game and said his final-four list consists of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio State and Florida. He said the Gophers probably have a slight edge "because I'm from Minnesota, but it's pretty equal now."

By Bill Kurelic...Hageman rescheduled his official visit to Minnesota this weekend (still went to the game). States Minnesota has the "slight" edge due to proximity.

Minneapolis-Washburn tight end Ra'Shede Hageman had three official visits scheduled. He was going to Minnesota this past weekend when the Gophers hosted Florida Atlantic, then Wisconsin Oct. 4 when the Badgers play Ohio State, and Ohio State Oct. 11 when the Buckeyes play Purdue. However the first of those scheduled trips did not happen.
"The visit to Minnesota got rescheduled," Hageman said. "But I still went to the game. Coach (Derek) Lewis wanted to reschedule my (official) visit because he wants me to see all the recruits coming in from Texas and Florida. They couldn't make it because of the hurricane."
The 6-foot-6, 252-pound Hagemen watched as the Gophers remained undefeated with a 37-3 victory over Florida Atlantic.
"I saw the new Gophers," Hageman said. "They're 4-0. They blew them out. All the new recruits that have come in have been great. And the tight ends caught a couple balls."
Hageman would not say the Gophers are his clear leader, but they have the edge.
"I'm giving the Gophers a head start because I'm from here," Hageman said. "But I still want to take my visits. I still want to take a trip down to Florida too."
Hageman said his official visit to Minnesota will now be Nov. 8 when the Gophers play Michigan.
"I'll decide (on a college) in December after I take my visits," Hageman said.

Bucknuts.com - OSU-Minnesota Game Sways Hageman
Hageman talks about how he was in attendance for the OSU-Minnesota game last weekend and gives his observations from that game. He was satisfied with the way the Gophers were competitive and employed their tight ends. Disappointed with how the Buckeyes used theirs.....perceived them as a running school. How a school uses their tight ends is a very important factor for him. He's sold on Wisconsin from this standpoint. He'll be in attendance at the Badger game this weekend.

BN$-- Hageman Back From First Official Visit
Shede says he definitely noticed how much Wisconsin used the TE and how tOSU did not utilize the position at all. Minnesota still has the lead but Wisconsin was impressive.

Says he had a great visit to OSU and thinks he could see the field as a freshman. Uses the analogy of he and Pryor as similar to an early Shaq and Kobe.

Two key Ohio State recruiting targets were making their official visit to Ohio State over the weekend. Tight end Ra'Shede Hageman (Minneapolis/Washburn) and wide receiver Marlon Brown (Memphis, Tenn./Harding) are two outstanding talents who could be great targets for freshman quarterback Terrelle Pryor the next few seasons.
It was no coincidence that Pryor played player/host to the two.
"He was being real with me," Hageman said of Pryor. "He said if I played for Ohio State he would definitely throw me the ball. I look at it like it would be like Shaq and Kobe in the early days."
Hageman has made official visits to Ohio State and Wisconsin. He has a visit scheduled to Minnesota the weekend of Nov. 8 when the Gophers host Michigan and plans to schedule a trip to Florida.
Hageman was very impressed with his Ohio State visit, though he is not ready to declare the Buckeyes his leader.
"I have to look at where everyone stands," he said. "It's hard to say who leads. I have to finish my visits."
