Sabino has very good size and is a very physical player. Sabino is at his best when things come his way. He sheds blockers well and knows how to fight through traffic and make the play. Sabino is a sound tackler and a big hitter at times. He attacks with aggression and takes good angles. Sabino does move well laterally and has the ability to chase things down.

One of the top linebacker prospects in the entire state of Florida, Sabino finished his junior season with 131 tackles and eight sacks; he benches 370 pounds and has a 32-inch vertical jump.

Sabino reports a 3.0 core GPA and has an 1180 SAT. "I'm graduating early and I'm going to be taking summer school (English IV and Spanish II)," Sabino said. "I really want to get ahead and be more prepared. I want to play spring ball and I think it'll benefit me because I'll get to know their style and play book early.

Sabino: "I feel like I have a will to get to the ball. I just try that much harder. I'm really aggressive and have great speed to the ball.

"I want to work on my footwork and my leverage. Of course, you can never be fast enough and I want to work on my speed too."

Major Miami Prospect Cutting List

LB Etienne Sabino (6-3 230) has the unenviable task of choosing between 47 offers. The list includes schools national powerhouses such as Notre Dame, Ohio State, Florida, Miami, Tennessee, Southern Cal, LSU, and Auburn. Georgia Tech, Clemson, North Carolina, Georgia, NC State, and Duke are also among Sabino's numerous offers. "I'm working on making a top five," Sabino said, "I'll probably have it in two weeks or so...Southern Cal, North Carolina, and Ohio State, they're probably on my list right now, but I'm trying to decide the last two." It looks like Clemson might be out of the running, however, as Sabino said that he had not heard from them since summer began. He did not attend any camps, but did visit Notre Dame, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, UNC, Auburn, Georgia, NC State, and Duke. He hopes to be able to attend Southern Cal's opening game, but doesn't yet know about any other fall visits.He will graduate early, so he expects to commit "sometime in November."

Sabino still looking at a November commitment

Etienne Sabino of Michael Krop High in Miami continues to weigh scholarship offers from Division I powers such as Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Florida, Miami, North Carolina, Southern Cal, Ohio State and Tennessee.

Sabino, rated the sixth-best linebacker in the nation by Scout.com, said he has plenty of reasons to consider a commitment to Tech.
