"I didn't think it was a big deal, the de-commitment," former Gopher verbal David Gilreath said. "I think this was the best decision of my life."
"(The University of Minnesota) didn't really compare," UW Kicker Taylor Mehlhaff said. "I loved the atmosphere here. It was pretty easy to cross (Minnesota) off the list. I wanted to play at the highest level possible but I also wanted to have that college atmosphere."

The 6-6, 225-pounder, who led Glenbard North to a second-place finish in Class 8A last season, has been offered a scholarship by Iowa and has attracted interest from Illinois, Purdue, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Colorado, Washington and Tennessee.

By EdgyTim...Northern Illinois has offered, to go along with his offer from Iowa. Coaches from Colorado, Purdue and Arizona were in school last week and coaches from Northwestern and Ohio State are due in this week.
