Linebacker Damien Proby (North Las Vegas, Nev./Cheyenne) has scheduled his first official visit and will head to Big Ten country in a few weeks.
"I'm going to Northwestern (Dec. 12)," Proby said. "I like Northwestern a lot and they have been recruiting hard since the summer. They were my first offer and I really like the coaches and the academics there.
"Probably the education I'll get in college is the most important thing to me in making my decision and my mom really likes it there a lot. Coach Fitzgerald came over this week for a home visit and really sold me on the school but I want to visit before I commit anywhere."
Proby is also holding offers from UNLV, San Diego State, Oregon State, Washington State and Wyoming. Our guess is Proby will jump on the Northwestern offer on or even shortly before he officially visits in a few weeks.
