By M Alkire. McCray holds offers from West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Duke, North Carolina, UConn, Wake Forest and Virginia. He has also been hearing from Michigan, Michigan State, NC State, Georgia, UCLA and Stanford. He was very impressed with the fact that every single coach from the VATech staff sent him a hand-written letter.

McCray, who is rated one of Rivals.com's top 250 juniors in the nation, also has offers from Virginia Tech, Boston College, Maryland, North Carolina and Duke. The list will undoubtedly continue to grow.
Some schools want him at tight end, others at defensive end, and he's cool with either one. Virginia Tech, West Virginia and North Carolina definitely see him as a defensive end, while Maryland and Wake Forest are flexible. The Terrapins have even

"Earlier in recruiting, I thought I'd like to get the recruiting done early, and make a decision before the season starts," McCray said. "But now, I think I'd rather wait. If I found the perfect school, I'd commit now if I had one, and it depends on what other offers might come in. But I think I'd like to take my official visits, and I really don't have a deadline of when I'll commit."

From the UNC site. North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, NC State and Maryland stand out to McCray, as those are the ones he feels most comfortable with. He will take unofficial visits, as well as a few official visits before he makes his choice.

By M Alkire. LSU has offered. He was in shocked and very excited to pick up an offer from the Tigers, and calls them the elite of the elite.

DL Zack McCray (6-4 1/2 240) of Lynchburg, VA has several offers including one from USC. His other offers are from North Carolina, Maryland, NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, BC, West Virginia, Wake Forest, Duke, Tennessee, LSU, and UCLA. McCray went to junior days at Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, UNC, and NC State. He also has taken unofficials to Virginia and Maryland. McCray says each school has been interesting but feels most comfortable with North Carolina and Virginia Tech. "I've really gotten to know their coaching staffs," he said. "I have been to each school enough to know the campuses and just feel good about what they each have to offer." McCray says he is going to try and visit USC during his spring break. "I'm definately going to LSU," McCray said. "I' m going to try and swing by Tennessee and South Carolina too but I haven't made up my mind yet. Hopefully, it'll work out." McCray says he is not too familiar with the Gamecocks but knows they had a good recruiting class last year and play in the toughest conference in the country. Last year, McCray had 87 tackles, 20 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, and an interception. He returned one of the fumbles and the pick for touchdowns. He does not have any favorites. "There are certain schools that interest me, obviously, but I'm not sure I have any favorites," said McCray.
