Wilmington (NC) Hoggard offensive tackle T.J. Leifheit is a mammoth prospect. The 6-foot-7, 320-pound standout who now holds eight offers. The latest one comes from the California Golden Bears. Cal is the only school west of the Appalachians to offer Leifheit. He is shown in action from the 2007 and 2008 seasons…

USC recruiter Brad Lawing looked up OL TJ Leifheit (6-7 300) of Wilmington, NC earlier this week. "He wants to get me down to meet the new OL coach," Leifheit said. USC has offered along wih Clemson, Cal, Duke, Florida State, Maryland, North Carolina, NC State, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Wake Forest, East Carolina, Southern Cal, LSU and Boston College. Several others are showing interest including Ohio State, and Leifheit said that's the offer he's waiting on. "I've been an Ohio State fan my entire life," he said adding that he wouldn't commit right away if offered by he Buckeyes. "I want to evaluate all the options," he said. Coaches from LSU, North Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, Virginia, East Carolina, Tennessee and Ohio State also have been by his school. Leifheit has visited North Carolina, LSU, Tennessee, Florida State and Southern Cal. He does not have a favorites list but plans to have a top six by next month. "Everybody is even right now," he said.
