By S. Robertson. Coaches from Mississippi State were in already this week, and Mitchell expects coaches from Southern Miss and Michigan to also be in this week. He says that he may take a visit to Michigan if he can fit it in. His parents would like to see him stay in state.

By S. Robertson. Mitchell's mother says that the recruiting process has been fun, but stressful as well and they are ready for it to be over. Though she doesn't have a schools she is pushing, Mitchell's father is pushing Mississippi State.

Clarksdale High School defensive back Charles Mitchell said tonight he will sign a football letter of intent with Mississippi State Wedenesday morning.
Mitchell, who was No. 4 on The Clarion-Ledger Most Wanted List, chose the Bulldogs over Nebraska and Southern Miss.
“It was a real tough decision,” Mitchell said. (Mississippi State) was a lot closer to home and it was a chance to play in the SEC against some of the best players in the country.”
Mitchell, a first -team All-State selection, was the last remaining player on The Clarion-Ledger’s The Most Wanted list of Mississippi recruits to make a non-binding verbal commitment.
Players can sign binding national letters of intent Wednesday, the first day of the NCAA
Charles Mitchell, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound cornerback from Clarksdale High in Ms., just confirmed via text message that he is officially a member of the 2008 Mississippi State recruiting class and will ink a letter of intent tomorrow.
