David Pittman, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound quarterback from Pasadena (CA) CC, has committed to Minnesota after visiting the campus this past weekend, according to sources close to the program. Pittman attended the same junior college as Minnesota head coach Tim Brewster.

The Gophers football team received a verbal commitment from four-star quarterback David Pittman of Pasadena City College in California, according to Minnesota Gophers Football: GopherIllustrated.com.

Pittman, who visited campus last weekend, is a dual-threat quarterback who could end up playing a different position for the Gophers. He is the fifth four-star recruit in the 2008 class and the sixth junior college player.
