"Minnesota, South Carolina, Southern Miss and Ole Miss have offered me," the 6-foot, 187-pound Brock said. "Mississippi State has also shown a lot of interest, but my coaches haven't said if they have offered me yet."

Brock, who has seven interceptions so far this season, is coming off an official visit with Minnesota, and he gave the trip high marks.

"It was a good visit," he said. "I liked the coaching staff and the city and the people I met," he said. "It seems like they have a need for safeties where I could play right away."

Junior college safety Tramaine Brock is the latest verbal commitment for Brewster

Tim Brewster secured his 23rd verbal commitment for the 2008 class on Wednesday night with safety Tramaine Brock out of Perkinston Gulf Coast C.C., according to Matt O'Connell of GopherIllustrated.com.

Brock is a 6-foot, 180-pound junior college prospect with 4.5 speed that projects to play and possibly start at free safety for the Gophers next season.
