Divulges that the in state Tigers have always been his favorite and he's been impressed with them early this season. Still maintains he's trying to keep his options open. Allen could decide any time during the season.

Still intent on playing both football and basketball in college. Might have to go the D1AA route to find a school where he's projected to contribute in both. He's trying to set up a visit at Wisconsin and may do the same with Minnesota and Kansas. Will decide around the end of his season.

Allen is still considering six different schools.....Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, and Illinois State....and he'll make his final selection from that list on December 18th.

"I'm still trying to figure it out," said Allen, who has scheduled a press conference for Dec. 18 at Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club, at which he plans to make his announcement.

The Blue Devils wide receiver and point guard hopes to sign with a school for football and walk on to play basketball. He has narrowed his choices to six schools — Missouri, Minnesota, Kansas, Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois State — that will allow him to pursue both sports in college.

Allen has visited all six of those schools unofficially, but hasn't been able to take official visits because of his schedules with Maplewood's football and basketball teams.

"It's going pretty good," Allen said of the process. "I've just been enjoying it now. From when I got my first scholarship offer to now, it's been very fun and exciting. I'm starting to narrow it down.
