ESPN - 2009 receivers have size and speed to burn - Football Recruiting
Quote:

Normally Bryce McNeal (Minneapolis/Breck School) would be in the size/speed category for this piece, but he is so rail thin it negates his height. So he's in the speed category because he really does run extremely well, has a second gear and is very smooth. We are concerned about the level of competition he faces each week, but the Michigan commit will fit in very nicely in the spread and is faster than J.R. Hemingway and Darryl Stonum, two highly-regarded Michigan signees of the last two classes.

ESPN - Midwest Recruiting Blog
Quote:
There have been rumors that one of Michigan's top commitments, wide receiver Bryce McNeal (Minneapolis/Breck), has decided to de-commit. McNeal says that is not the case, but it is also not a done deal he will sign with the Wolverines.
"I haven't de-committed," McNeal said late Monday night. "But I'm going to take my five official visits. I visit Colorado Oct. 18 and Michigan Oct. 25. Minnesota, Cal-Berkley and Florida are the other schools [under consideration]."

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Penn State could turn some top prospects

It looks as if Michigan is out of it with Minneapolis Breck wide receiver Bryce McNeal. The Wolverines' staff reportedly is moving on and will focus efforts on Florida State commitment Willie Haulstead. Haulstead, from Titusville (Fla.) High, will be taking an official visit to Ann Arbor this weekend.

ESPN - WR McNeal hopes to follow up Floyd's success - Football Recruiting
Quote:
Top recruit
Bryce McNeal, wide receiver
Breck School (Minneapolis)
Considering: Minnesota, Colorado, Florida, California and Michigan
McNeal is a sleek athlete both smooth and fluid at wide receiver. The No. 9-ranked wide receiver has a ton of offers, especially from the Midwest and Rocky Mountain region. McNeal will really fill out once he is on a collegiate strength program and daily training table.
Once committed to Michigan, McNeal reopened his recruitment in mid-October. Though the Wolverines remain in the mix, he is very much up for grabs; it would be a big-time statement if Minnesota could keep him in-state.
McNeal possesses very good top-end speed and can separate from the defensive back who tries to play him man to man. He is especially impressive when going up for the football in traffic and across the middle. He is a slashing and explosive runner in the open field once he hauls in the pass, and yards after the catch come easy for this gifted athlete.
