12/14 Dippel has all the attributes college coaches are looking for and is a bonafied major D1 prospect. Numerous schools are seriously pursuing at this early stage in the '09 class, including Wisconsin and Notre Dame.

2/25/08 Dippel enjoyed his Junior day visit to Norte Dame. Norte Dame seems interested but did not offer.

"I didn't think it was a big deal, the de-commitment," former Gopher verbal David Gilreath said. "I think this was the best decision of my life." "(The University of Minnesota) didn't really compare," UW Kicker Taylor Mehlhaff said. "I loved the atmosphere here. It was pretty easy to cross (Minnesota) off the list. I wanted to play at the highest level possible but I also wanted to have that college atmosphere."

4/12 Was perturbed when the Badgers didn't offer him, yet they offered three other prospects on junior day. However, now he understands they need to see him in person first. Would prefer to stay at LB if possible. Is wide open right now.
