DB Michael Carter (6-0 160) of Pompano Beach, FL says he has received an offer from Clemson. He says his father has been handling his recruiting so he's not personally spoken with any coaches at Clemson. This summer, Carter visited Georgia and Florida and enjoyed both schools. He has not made up his mind as to which schools he will officially visit this fall. His other offers include Minnesota, Miami, Georgia, Florida, and Central Florida. Carter has no favorites. Last year, Carter had 34 tackles, 18 pass deflections, and 7 interceptions. He returned 4 for touchdowns. His best time in the 40 so far according to him was a 4.47.

By M Bakas. Carter is still focused on Miami, Georgia, Florida, West Virginia and Minnesota. His cousin played at Minnesota (Tyrone Carter), so he has always followed the Gophers. He says he also really likes Miami right now.

UGA makes final five for Florida DB Michael Carter | College recruiting | ajc.com

Michael Carter of Pompana Beach, Fla., who is ranked as the nation’s No. 10 defensive back by Rivals and a member of the AJC’s The Super Southern 100, confirmed that he has narrowed down to five schools: Florida, Miami, Georgia, West Virginia, and Minnesota.
The 5-foot-10, 154-pound speedster said he will attend the Florida-Miami game on Saturday, and that the Gators were one of several schools that called his house earlier this week: “They called my dad to check up on me and my game, and also to tell me about their upcoming game.”

Defensive back Michael Carter (Pompano Beach, Fla./Ely) is another key prospect making an official visit to Minnesota this weekend. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound Carter is one of the top cornerback prospects in the talent-rich Sunshine State. Carter has three interceptions and two touchdowns in nine games this season.
"I've never been to Minnesota," Carter said. "I want to meet all the coaches and see the new things they are building there. I want to see how I would be involved there."
Carter has previously made an official visit to West Virginia. He is also considering Florida, Georgia, Kansas State and Miami.
"I'm still talking with my dad about whom to visit," Carter said. "I think I'll take all five visits. I don't have a favorite right now."

Do you have any information as to why he switched?
Did the Eric Jacques signing have anything to do with it? Before today's official switch, I hadn't heard anything or anywhere linking Jacques to Minnesota.
They already had Wills, Michel, Olson and Campion coming in. Campion isn't supposed to be anything special, but Wills, Michel and Olson seemed to be a solid base.
If they signed Jacques only to get Carter to flip flop, I can't say I really mind it. Outside of a few loose ends to tie up, they didn't have much more recruiting left to do.

I think Jacques could end up playing DT.
