U-M 'uncertainty' concerns recruit
Cass Tech's Boubacar committed but will visit Illinois and Tennessee as coach search goes on.
Detroit News staff and wires
Defensive back Boubacar Cissoko of Detroit Cass Tech said he will take official visits to Illinois and Tennessee.
Cissoko is one of 17 players, five from Michigan, who have made a verbal commitment to Michigan.
"My commitment to Michigan is 100 percent," Cissoko said. "I need to have a backup plan, because I don't know what's going to happen."

Cissoko's brother-in-law denies reports of a visit to Tennessee, says Illinois is mad at Cissoko for not visiting, and does admit there is a chance he visits PSU in January.

From the Michigan site. Cissoko says he isn't sure if he is 100% to Michigan like he once was. He is still a Michigan verbal, but will visit Penn State in January and says it will come down to those two schools for his services. Boubacar will no longer visit Tennessee.

despite what he tells Rivals, it's not over.
We need to see how the Michigan staff shakes out first.
I think Cissoko would be crazy to go to Penn State though. Just look at Justin King's development, or lack of development I should say.
With the new and improved S&C and speed programs that RRod has already put into motion I think that Cissoko could become a beast in Ann Arbor. He'd walk onto campus and be the #3 CB right away. At worst the #4 CB.

Cissoko with an up and down game thus far. Showed his closing speed on a short pass out wide and nearly intercepted a pass off a deflection. However, then he got burned by the combination of Gabbert and the much taller Buckner. He doesn't allow a lot of separation, but his weakness at the next level might be that he's a borderline dwarf, by football standards. Looking forward to Wisconsin's bigger receivers like 6'5" Kyle Jefferson and 6'3" Nick Toon matching up against him.

From the Michigan site. Cissoko had a lot of fun at the Army AA game, and says he can learn from his mistakes in the game and improve. Cissoko also added that he loved what he heard from the coaching staff about the Michigan defense next year, and was told he would be given the chance to contribute early.

University of Michigan cornerback Boubacar Cissoko arrested for disorderly conduct - AnnArbor.com
Quote:
Cornerback Boubacar Cissoko, who started two games as a freshman and should be a key contributor in Michigan’s secondary this year, was arrested last month on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.
Cissoko is due in court Aug. 24 for a pre-trial hearing. He could face up to a $1,000 fine and 90 days in jail, but is likely subject to a much a smaller penalty.
“He has been disciplined by the program,” Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez said in a statement. “He is taking care of his responsibilities.”
Both Cissoko and running back Kevin Grady, who served jail time this off-season for driving while intoxicated, have been participating in Michigan’s off-season program.
According to a Detroit Police Department arrest report, Cissoko was a passenger in a car that was pulled over June 6 for speeding on Belle Isle.
After a three- or four-minute pursuit, the driver was asked out of the car and hand-cuffed. Cissoko then began yelling “Leave my boy the (expletive) alone,” the report said, and was arrested when he failed to comply with an officer's orders to stop.
He was released on $100 bond.
Cissoko played in all 12 games last year and had three pass breakups, starting against Toledo and Purdue. He’s also expected to vie for the starting kick-return job this fall.
