I'm sorry, but you are way off.
Saddler is very similar to former class of 2007 commit Marquis Maze out of Alabama. Maze was a 5'8, 160-pound RB/WR/KR/PR recruit that was committed to Michigan months before they both kind of mutually parted ways. Maze started checking out other schools and took a couple of visits to Tennessee and Alabama. Visits which he lied about and said he didn't make to the UM Scout/Rivals sites, and here's the kicker, to the Michigan coaches as well.
Saddler is a certified badass and would probably be rated as a 5* recruit himself if he were 5'10 or 5'11 instead of 5'6.5". Saddler is explosive with the football in his hands and runs the 40 in the 4.4's. I don't know what his shuttle time is, but judging by his video, it's probably something ridiculous. With the graduation of Steve Breaston, Michigan is in dire need of a return specialist and right now there doesn't look to be anybody remotely close to him in that department currently on the roster.
Michigan wants Hale, but they do not want him that bad. Saddler has an offer because he's worthy of one on his own merits.
Ronald Johnson's mother tried to get Michigan to offer his brother Corey and they wouldn't, and I can assure you that they wanted Ronald much more then they want Shayne Hale. Next to the Ryan Mallett recruitment (where their QB coach practically lived in Texas for one month) I can't think of one player off the top of my head that they recruited harder than Ronald Johnson in the past 5 years.
