For some reason it won't link, but there's a little recruiting article in the 03/12 edition of the Free Press.

Big weekend in Ann Arbor - ESPN
Quote:
Rich Rodriguez and his Michigan coaching staff are set for a big weekend. He will host a junior day followed by the Wolverines' first spring practice session.
Rodriguez will welcome some outstanding prospects and it seems likely the Wolverines current list of four commitments will grow.
Wide receiver D.J. Williamson (Warren, Ohio/Harding) landed a scholarship offer from Michigan earlier this week and says he might commit to the Wolverines this weekend, while he is in Ann Arbor.

Article on Michigan's Junior Day in today's Free Press. I can't link it because, for some reason, the Free Press' links don't work on RP.

NCAA tournament could help Michigan football | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press

Several U-M football recruits were at Crisler Arena when Michigan beat Duke on Dec. 6, 2008.

Success on the basketball court and success on the football field don't necessarily go hand-in-hand in college. Duke and Kentucky have long had outstanding basketball programs, while their football teams have been among their conferences' worst. Alabama, USC and Florida State each field basketball programs that produce the occasional standout season, but do not compare to their schools' success on the gridiron.
Michigan could also be lumped in with that latter group, considering the last 11 years of basketball misery. In the 10 years prior to that spell, though, Wolverines basketball was nearly as recognizable as their counterparts in football. The 1989 team won the national title and the Fab Five is still among the sport's most recognizable eras.

Henderson no interest?
Didn't Henderson come on an unofficial visit for two days and stayed at the house of Antonio Bass? This definitely shows at least some interest in the program and he did talk glowing afterwards. I would say M has at least a shot at the young man.

QB Denard Robinson misses game but is learning plays | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press
Quote:
ANOTHER FORCIER?: Jason Forcier, the former Michigan quarterback who transferred to Stanford, will graduate in June. He plans to return to Ann Arbor this fall to pursue a graduate degree in sports management.
Could he play for the Wolverines alongside or backing up his younger brother Tate?
He confirmed he has a year of eligibility remaining and said he turned down the chance to return to Stanford. The NCAA loophole that allowed graduate students to play instantaneously at a new school has closed but is still being investigated.
"It's more a possibility than an option, but I want to keep up with classes," he said.
Asked if there was any talk of being part of the program, Jason said, "I can't really comment on any of that stuff right now."
