I have to say I think this kid might be the most underrated in the nation.

Every time OSU-UM fight this tooth and nail over a kid you know he's got to be damn good. Who cares if he didn't have 50 offers? He got the only two he even wanted almost right away.

I agree... He's an absolute freak athletically... Could be big time at both TE and DE, wherever he settles in... (He'd come in as a TE at OSU)...

From the Michigan site...the much-anticipated post-UM visit update. Very positive for UM although there is one line that would have me a little concerned (if I were a UM fan).

I agree, and I think I know what line you are talking about.

I think there is also one line that I might be concerned about if I were an OSU fan. This kid seems to think that he'll play right away at Michigan whereas he might have to wait if he went to Ohio State. The U-M coaches have done a good job of selling playing time to him.

Still, I thought this was 60-40 in OSU's favor before today. This might've pulled Michigan up and made it 55-45 in OSU's favor, but I think in the end he's going to pick OSU.

I'd be glad to be wrong though.

He has mentioned the depth chart favoring UM several times lately and that does have me concerned, no doubt...I think we are talking about a kid who is still genuinely undecided.

Funny to me that he keeps bringing up depth and playing time and how Michigan looks better. How many TE's does OSU have on scholarship currently and how many have they brought in for the '07/'08 classes?

Michigan currently has Mike Massey- RS JR, Chris McLaurin, RS Soph, and I know Quintin Patilla (RS Fr.) is listed at FB and Andre Criswell (RS Soph) at TE, but I think they'll switch positions before the season starts. Criswell can't catch for a lick, but he's 6'1", 257 pounds and he's a bone-crushing blocker. Patilla struggles blocking as he's only about 6'2", 220. However, he's got excellent hands, kid can really catch the football. So I wouldn't be surprised if/when they have Criswell and Patilla switch positions in the fall. They might even move him back to linebacker if Webb and Watson come in and show they'll be able to play as freshman. That is it as far as TE's they have on the team. Oh, have to mention this. Carson Butler was cleared of all-charges so maybe he's allowed to earn his way back onto the team, but I dobut it. There is a chance that Carr allows him to earn his way back though. He's done it with players that he's dismissed before, so I wouldn't rule it out, but it is unlikely.

Anyway. Michigan brought in Martell Webb and Steve Watson in '07, currently have Brandon Moore committed as part of the '08 class, and if we wind up with Christian Wilson to play H-back in this class (which looks likely) as well that's alot of people at one position to compete with for the same football.

Watson and Moore are true TE's, but Webb could possibly play WR. Wilson looks like an H-back to me but you never know, he could easily wind up at linebacker.

UM's coaches are saying that a lot of those guys you listed will be somewhere else (Webb at WR, etc.), so that is what Koger is going by...
OSU has 3 scholarship TE's right now in Rory Nicol (Jr.), Jake Ballard (So.), and Andy Miller (Rs. FR.)... Stoneburner is in this class, but he is coming in as a WR first with the understanding that if he gets a lot bigger he will move in to TE...
