Christian is a nice sized cover corner who gets better with every rep and only lacks experience at the position. He has the ability to a true lockdown corner. Right now he relies a lot on instinct, but is getting better at being aware of everything that is going on around him and jumping routes. He is tough to beat in press coverage and he will hit you. Pittsburgh junior adds two offers

Junior defensive back Cullen Christian (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) has doubled his scholarship offer total. Christian's first two scholarship offers came from Pitt and Michigan. Maryland and Central Michigan have now offered as well.

After playing on the junior varsity his sophomore year, the 6-foot-1 and 185-pound Christian moved into the Penn Hills starting lineup at cornerback at the beginning of his junior season. He made 35 tackles and intercepted two passes as he quickly established himself as a major college prospect.

"I might visit Michigan in the next week or two," Christian said. "Penn State wants me to come out for a spring practice. Maryland wants me to visit too. I want to visit the schools that have offered and some others I'm interested in."

Christian names Michigan, Maryland, Penn State and Ohio State as the schools he is most interested in at this point.

At 6'1" 185lbs, junior Cullen Christian still has the speed and athleticism to cover with the best of them. The Penn Hills H.S. (PA) product is a big, swift CB with cover skills. Players like Cullen are a premium in college football being that there aren't too many of them.

He is just scratching the surface of how good he can truly be as a football player. He is physical, and there are just not a lot of big corners out there like that. He's like (incoming Michigan freshman) J.T. Turner, but probably faster. (Christian) is that type of big kid that can lock down a team's best receiver."

After watching this athletic defensive back run, change direction and jump, it's easy to see why he has more than 10 offers as a junior. Christian is being courted by schools such as Michigan, Pitt, West Virginia, Maryland and Illinois. His shuttle and 40-yard-dash times were very solid Saturday in Pittsburgh, but the real eye-opener was his vertical jump. Christian leaped just under 40 inches, with a 39.4. Look for him to be one of the top corners in the state going into his senior campaign. Last season he had 35 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble and a number of passes broken up. Look for those numbers to get even better.
