Some top juniors were at the game too, including defensive end William Gholston and defensive tackle Jonathan Hankins (Detroit/Southeastern). Hankins is the only one of those five prospects not currently holding a scholarship offer from Michigan State, and it may be just a matter of time until he also receives an offer from Dantonio.

By A. Trieu. Wisconsin has offered, joining Bowling Green. Hankins has dropped 15 pounds and now weighs an even 300 pounds. Calls Florida's Junior Day "amazing". Says Michigan's coaches have told him he'll get a camp offer in June. Says he's hearing from Florida, Michigan, Toledo, Alabama, Nebraska, Notre Dame among others and will take his time.
Oddly enough, no mention of Michigan State. You'd think they'd be a big player here.

Especially when they are really going after Gholston, and they(Hankins/Gholston) have already stated they would like to play together.

Talks about offer from Wisconsin, and thinks offer from Michigan is on the way. Plans on announcing to same school on same day as Gholston

"(The University of Minnesota) didn't really compare," UW Kicker Taylor Mehlhaff said. "I loved the atmosphere here. It was pretty easy to cross (Minnesota) off the list. I wanted to play at the highest level possible but I also wanted to have that college atmosphere."

OSU-Michigan Tussle For Position | Ohio State Buckeyes College Football Recruiting, OSU Big Ten Football, OSU Basketball – Bucknuts.com
Quote:
Detroit (Mich.) Southeastern defensive lineman Johnathan Hankins has made official visits to Florida and Virginia. Last weekend when he visited the Gators, Hankins also found out Michigan was offering him a scholarship.
Previously Michigan was not on Hankins list and it looked like the Buckeyes would get the last official visit. Hankins told Bucknuts.com he was going to visit Ohio State Dec. 5.
Then when the Michigan offer came in, Hankins said after visiting Ohio State this coming weekend he would visit Michigan the weekend of Dec. 12.
But that has changed. Hankins has moved his OSU visit back to Dec. 12 and will visit Michigan this weekend, again giving the Bucks the last shot.
Maybe.
There is always the chance Hankins commits to Michigan this weekend and cancels his trip to Ohio State. My gut feeling is that does not happen and the Bucks get the last shot with Hankins coming to Columbus when the Bucks have their biggest December recruiting weekend, Dec. 11-13.

Several Florida recruiting targets impressed with their weekend at The Swamp -- OrlandoSentinel.com
Quote:
Johnathon Hankins 6-3, 315, DL, Detroit, Mich., Southeastern
Hankins visited Virginia two weeks ago and then Florida this past weekend. He told ESPN.com's Bill Kurelic: "It went good. The vibe was good. The players were good. The redshirt freshmen told me what goes on. The rest of the players were good to me too."
When asked to compare his Florida visit with his trip to Virginia, Hankins said, "(Florida) was better than Virginia. The weather was good and the (Florida-Florida State) game was great." Hankins is also considering Ohio State and Michigan.
