'10 PA RB/LB Mike Hull (Official Offer)
Mike Hull
Rivals Profile
Canon McMillan HS
Canonsburg, PA
Ht: 6-1
Wt: 200
40: N/A
IMO Hull, a sophmore, was the most impressive player on the field last Friday night in a game that included senior D1 prospects Andrew Sweat, Mike Yancich, Brandon Weaver (OU recruit), Jeravin Matthews (NW verbal), and Zane Zebraskey (Akron, Kent St. recruit). Looks like this one will be Penn State's to lose, but colleges from all across the country will be in Canonsburg to see Hull play.
WASHINGTON SUNDAY: Big Macs sophomore wants more

Hull, a sophomore linebacker and running back at Canon-McMillan, already seems well on his way to playing football in college. He was a first-team All-Great Southern Conference selection as a freshman, no small feat considering state champion Upper St. Clair and powerful McKeesport were in the conference, and that his team went winless in five conference games.

Put down Mike Hull as one to watch. Only a sophomore, he rushed for 177 yards on 17 carries against Trinity. A year ago, Hull made all-conference as a freshman. His father is a former Penn State player.

Without regard to recruiting services, scouting combines or other publications, it's time to unveil the top 10 high school football players in 2007 from the Washington-Greene region:1. Andrew Sweat, Sr., Trinity, LB/FB -The best defensive player I've seen in my 10 years of covering high school football. 2. Mike Yancich, Sr., Trinity, LB/RB - A freakish, one-of-a-kind athlete. No wonder Trinity coach Ed Dalton calls him "Tarzan." 3. Mike Hull, So., Canon-McMillan, LB/RB - The next great linebacker in Washington County. Insiders say he's a lock to play at Penn State.

I live in PA, this kid is definitely special. And not only that, but he has a blue collar work ethic and is the type of kid any coach would want on his team. I think this kid will be very hard to sway from Penn State, regardless of whether Joe is still at Penn State or not... [I know thats what people are thinking, since Mike is only a sophomore]

Canon-McMillan (2-1, 0-0) at Shaler (3-0, 0-0), 7:30 p.m. today -- Canon-McMillan's Mike Hull is one of the WPIAL's leading rushers as a sophomore. But Shaler is on the cusp of being ranked in the top five in Class AAAA and also trying to go 4-0 for the first time since 2000. Winner: Shaler.

WPIAL Class AAAA Roundup: Plum wins first in conference, makes playoffs
Quote:
McKeesport 30, Canon-McMillan 28
Brian Cope's 24-yard field goal with five seconds left gave the visiting Tigers (8-1, 5-0) a Great Southern win. J.J. Eckels' 47-yard pass to Shadrae King set up that score for McKeesport, No. 4 in the WPIAL. Mike Hull scored twice for the Big Macs (4-5, 2-3).

Class of 2010 prospect Mike Hull (Canonsburg/Pa./Canon McMillan) is going to be a very good player. I’d go as far as saying I can see a Sean Lee (Penn State) type player. He is a hardnosed kid who gets after it.

2010 prospect Hull likes Big Ten
Wednesday, September 24, 2008 | Print Entry
Posted by Bill Kurelic
There is no questioning junior Mike Hull's (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) ability -- he is one of the top all-around athletes in the Big Ten region. The questions are which position Hull will play at the next level and who he will play for?
Hull was an all-conference selection as an outside linebacker his freshman year in one of the top conferences in the state of Pennsylvania. He made 104 tackles.
The 6-foot-1, 212-pound Hull played inside linebacker, safety and running back his sophomore season. He led the WPIAL Quad A in rushing with 1,300 yards, averaging 7.1 yards per carry and scoring 14 times. On defense he made 117 tackles.
