I'd say there's a VERY good chance he commits to Michigan, and this can't hurt with Will Campbell.

Short of RR burning the kid's house to the ground, I don't think there is anything that will keep him from verbaling to UM in the next few weeks...

Funny enough, because I remember a very similar quote like that to describe a certain offensive lineman's recruitment to Michigan...Benedict Arnold now plays at Ohio State. I don't know or pretend to know all the details. I don't believe either side 100%.
Though that's neither here nor there.

From TheWolverine...was going to announce on 9/26 but will now wait until after the season. Favors Michigan and MSU and is receiving interest from Illinois.

Football stars talk about recruiting process | detnews.com | The Detroit News
Quote:
15. Thomas Gordon
Position: DB/QB
Ht./Wt.: 5-11/210
High school: Detroit Cass Tech
College: Michigan
Best experience: My official visit to U-M. They beat Duke that day, the basketball team. The fans stormed the floor. All the recruits were there, too, and we were jumping all over each other. That was pretty crazy.
Worst experience: When I saw (my teammates) Teric (Jones) and "Big" Will (Campbell) get big-time offers. It wasn't jealousy. But I felt I could be as good as they were.
Would you like to see an early signing period? I would be in favor of keeping it the same so you don't make a mistake early.
Would you have signed early? Yes. I knew in my mind where I was going to go.
Why not MSU? It went back to what position I would play. I would have to live and die at safety if I went there. At U-M I have a chance to play offense. I have more options.

Thomas Gordon - S/ATH - Detroit Cass Tech (Mich.)
Cass has had some bigger names over the last couple years, but ask their opponents who they feared the most on gameday and a lot of them will tell you it was Gordon. A good athlete with a college ready body, he showed as a senior that he could make the transition from quarterback to safety. However, with the way Rich Rodriguez plays offense, don't be surprised to see him on O in certain pacakges either.
