No. I just expect Forcier to commit early. But until he does, I have to think Eugene Smith is back in the equation. He'll leave the board completely if Michigan lands Forcier.

I would move Tate Forcier to good shot for now until we hear his reaction to the open scholie/Newsome decommit. Dion Sims (MSU?), Lalota (PSU?), Roh (USC?), T. Thomas (Pitt?), Hadley (Auburn?) and Newsome (decommit) to maybe; Moses, Montgomery, Brenden Smith to maybe since they're likely making decisions later in the season. Teague, Evans, David Sims to not likely. I would create a category for players we're slow playing, like Freeman, C. Gordon, T. Gordon, Julius Ferrell, W. Hill?, T. Bond?, Ankrah?, Jamil Merrell?.

Might also be worthwhile to create priority levels at certain positions. We have needs at QB, CB, OL and DE in this class. Assuming we get Smith/Hawthorne, scholarships will likely be limited to those priority positions unless a top-shelf player at another position wants to commit. For instance, top priority CBs are Winston (temporarily), J. Robinson, Branden Smith, Mywar Jackson and maybe Thames. Top priority OTs are B. Williams, Moses, Hall?, Philipp?. Top priority QBs are Newsome, Forcier and E. Smith. Top priority DEs are Roh, Montgomery, and Bonds.

I think we'd do real well to get Forcier (QB), Brennan Williams (OL), one of J. Robinson/M. Jackson/Thames (CB/DB), and any decent DE, preferably one of Montgomery/Roh/Bonds. However, my guy feeling is we'll get one, if we're lucky two, out of that group and have to get plan-B or sleeper recruits to fill out the remaining needs.

Smith and Hawthorne make 16 commitments. I'm projecting 20 available scholarships in the class, so that leaves 4 unfulfilled. We have legitimate holes at DE, Oline and CB. Given the Newsome decommitment, I'm presuming Rod intends to land another QB, he said he wants 2 in this class.

Unless there are more decommits, I expect the board to look like this:
