Greenwood DB DJ Swearinger (6-1 205) says he and three teammates will attend USC's spring game Saturday. Swearinger said he'll be joined by DE Sam Montgomery, rising junior DL Kelcy Quarles, who has an offer from USC and is the son of former Gamecock Buddy Quarles, and Devin Partlow. USC has not offered Swearinger. "They've been telling me to come to camp," Swearinger said. He has offers from Vanderbilt, Illinois, Maryland, Auburn and NC State. He's also hearing from Penn State and Duke. Swearinger said Auburn and NC State are showing the strongest interest, and Vanderbilt has told him he's their top safety prospect.

Greenwood DB DJ Swearinger (6-2 208) had nine offers to his credit before he finally got the notice of one of the in state major programs. Swearinger was offered by USC Thursday while attending a Gamecock camp session. "It was a big offer, man," Swearinger said. "I've been waiting on an in state offer. Early in my recruiting, South Carolina was in my top three. That kind of went away, but now they are starting to move back in there. I was doing drills with coach Cooper (at the camp). He said he really liked what I was doing out there." Swearinger also has offers from Vanderbilt, Illinois, Maryland, Auburn, NC State, Duke, Wake Forest, Michigan and North Carolina. He will camp at Tennessee June 12th, Georgia on the 14th, Auburn on the 15th, and North Carolina on the 16th. Swearinger said his top five is USC, Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia and Michigan. "If I had to say a favorite, I'd say Auburn," Swearinger said. "It's a top notch school. They produce good players every year. They have a great defense every year. They put players in the league every year." Swearinger was one of several players from Greenwood at the camp Thursday. He said some of the others were DE Sam Montomgery, DB Byron Best, who may draw a USC offer once his test scores are in, and junior OL Kelcy Quarles.
