First, though, he's excited about college, though he's not sure where he'll be next year. He visited North Carolina last month and said he is still thinking about Michigan, Virginia Tech, N.C. State and East Carolina. He also said he likes Florida.

Mammoth offensive lineman Travis Bond (Windsor, N.C./Bertie) will make his first official visit this weekend as the 6-foot-7, 325-pound offensive tackle heads to Big Ten country. Bond will be in Ann Arbor, Mich., and will be in the Big House as Michigan plays host to in-state rival Michigan State.

"It will be my first time at Michigan," Bond said. "I'm looking forward to a tour of the school. I want to meet all the coaches. I want to experience the atmosphere at a Michigan game."

Regardless of how well the visit goes, Bond is not expecting to end the recruiting process this weekend. He has an official visit scheduled to Virginia Tech the weekend of Nov. 22 and plans to visit North Carolina sometime in December.

"I'm not sure which weekend I'll visit North Carolina," Bond said. "It will depend on the playoffs and our games. I think I'll set up a visit to North Carolina State too. East Carolina is the other school I'm looking at."

Bond said all of the schools he mentioned have offered a scholarship. He doesn't plan to rush his decision.

"I don't have a favorite right now," he said. "I'll probably wait and take all five (official) visits."
