From the Michigan site. Beaver was set to verbal to TCU, but Michigan contacted him about playing QB. Other schools are looking at him as a WR, but he says he wants to play QB.

From the Nebraska site...TCU is recruiting him the hardest. Would like to stay close to home but will go wherever the situation fits him best.

ESPN - Timmons, Allen, Blake emerge at Dallas NFTC - Insider
Quote:
On the Hoof
Elite 11: QB Shavodrick Beaver (Wichita Falls, Texas/Rider)
Initially Beaver looked unsure of himself and a bit shy as the Elite 11 kicked off, but as he moved into the second day and stayed for the NFTC event, Beaver began to just play and not think. His arm became more live, and you could see his confidence rise. He is still a project in the passing game, but he is one heck of an athlete and a dual-threat guy who will only improve as a passer.

From the Michigan site. Beaver says that he loved his first trip to Ann Arbor and hanging out with his future teammates. He says that Oklahoma and Oklahoma are coming at him really hard, but that he is solid with Michigan. He can't wait to get back to Michigan.

Michigan commitment Shavodrick Beaver – a quarterback from Wichita Falls (Texas) Rider – long has been rumored to be looking around, but those rumors seemed to fade after Kevin Newsome de-committed and Tate Forcier took his place. Word is starting to spread again that he'll take other visits. One source says Texas Tech is the leading candidate to sign him, while another says it's Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State sounds like the more natural option because Texas Tech prefers pure passers, but both schools could get a look. Still, the feeling here is that he'll visit a Big 12 school or two but will end up at Michigan in the end.

On WTKA Recruiting Roundup they were saying that there was no truth to the rumor of Beaver visiting other schools, though Bryce McNeal still planned other visits.
