Smith reportedly was injured last night at a basketball game. Not many other details are available at this time.

Brandon Smith injured (bball game)
Quote:
I was just at the north brunswick vs. new brunswick basketball game. In the third quarter he went down and had an injusry to his left leg/knee.

I am unsure exactly what the injury was but i can tell you it was deffinatly a serious injury. After lying on the floor being examinded for a good 15 20 min as well as having his older brother and mother come and talk to him about the injury, he was carried out of the school by two teamates. I am sure that you will have an update upon the injury within the next few days.
Quote:
The game was threatened to be called off, but after a while the teams went into a different area to warm up again, and once Brandon was carried off, the teams finished the game. and yes Tiquan was there, shook hands with a few people on the New Brunswick side. The North Brunswick students were chanted his name twice, but he didnt acknowledge them much.

Redshirted this past year.

Should easily crack the two-deep and has a strong chance at starting at SS.

TheWolverine.com - Spring at the halfway point: Wolverines on the rise

Quote:
Does anyone look the part better than Smith? The physical safety might just be the decade-long solution to a mystifying problem in the U-M secondary. He's working with the ones and has made some nice plays in practices already. When he's closer to the line of scrimmage he can do some real damage but we'll have to preach patience on seeing what he can do further away from the line. After all, he has a senior teammate that was known as a great practice performer too.
