Other than FLorida none of the other schools scare me. If I had to guess I would say UM is in a slight lead, but it could be either M or FLA.

I feel fairly confident he'll wind up at Michigan.

I haven't.
I've seen Rutgers people say they think he winds up at Michigan.
Michigan was the early leader and he almost committed on his visit here but backed off. Before the visit he said that Michigan was his favorite but that he probably wouldn't commit on the visit because he wanted to take other visits and be sure of his decision. Well, he came real close to committing and loved his visit at Michigan, but in the end he stuck to his word and held off on the committment.
No reason to think that Michigan still doesn't lead. Steve Szabo is doing a heck of a job recruiting him, and he's one of the 3 LB'ers (Witherspoon and Filer being the others) that Szabo has been going after hard.

I wouldn't mind it at all if 2/3 (Witherspoon and Fitz) of our future starting LB corps and our future starting safeties were from Jersey (Hill and Smith).
Don't think it's going to happen because I think Hill goes somewhere in the South, but I do think we wind up with Fitzgerald and Smith to go along with Witherspoon.
IF U-M were to somehow pull that off though, wow, talk about raiding a state.

Fitzgerald talks Florida. Says playing for a team like Florida would be a "dream".

Fitzgerald's top three are Michigan, Florida, and Rutgers. He plans on announcing in November, but it may be sooner than that.

Rivals - 07/31/07
An article discussing several East Coast prospects.... Accoridng to Mike Farrell, Michigan is the team to beat for Fitzgerald, and Florida is the dark horse candidate.
