Youngstown (Ohio) Cardinal Mooney running back and defensive back Braylon Heard has seen his scholarship offer list grow from one to a half dozen in the past month.
Penn State assistant Jay Paterno got the jump on everyone when he visited Cardinal Mooney in late January and offered Heard a scholarship. West Virginia, North Carolina State, Indiana and Akron have recently joined Penn State with offerss
The 5-foot-11 and 170-pound Heard played both cornerback and running back during his junior season. He intercepted two passes and rushed for close to 1,000 yards.
The Buckeyes have been in contact with Heard who attended the Ohio State-Michigan game.

Scout.com: Cardinal Mooney Connection Continuing?
4/28
By Steve Ryan. Claims offers from Wisconsin, PSU, Cincinnati, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Kent, West Virginia, Akron, NC State, Nebraska, and Maryland...will look for the best fit and opportunity to play. Would like to get out and see WVU, PSU, and Nebraska at some point...talks about Southern Cal and what that offer would mean, talks about tOSU...will take his time and might not narrow things down until after his senior year.
