DETROIT - Brandon Murphy and his bum ankle seemed to symbolize what went wrong with Miami University football in 2006.

Now restored to good health and upbeat, the RedHawk running back represents the restoration Miami seeks to prove last year's two-win season was an aberration.

"It's good to be back and it's good to be 100 percent," said Murphy, a senior from Strongsville, Ohio, while attending Wednesday's Mid-American Conference football media days at Ford Field. "When you can't compete at the level you like to compete at and when you're injured and missing games, it takes a toll on your psyche."
