Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Rivals5: Names to know for 2009
Quote:

This past season we saw countless arguments over who is best wide receiver prospect: Julio Jones or A.J. Green. Well, if Randle was in the Class of 2008 you would be making this argument a three-way discussion. Randle was a first-team all-state performer in 2007 and had more than 1,000 yards in receptions. He also did his fare share in helping Bastrop to the Louisiana 4A state championship. In the Championship game he had four catches for 135 yards, and a touchdown. Randle possesses very good height at around 6 feet 3, and great body control. He also has the speed to blow by defensive backs. Look for the home-state LSU Tigers to be a heavy favorite, but I'm sure almost every school in the nation will be sending this prospect a written offer.

Bastrop Daily Enterprise - Sports
Quote:
It would be safe to call Rueben Randle the most highly-recruited player in the history of the Bastrop High football program. Heck, he's probably the most sought-after athlete to ever come through Morehouse Parish.
To name a few, the 6-4, 200-pound senior to be has received scholarship offers from LSU, Miami, USC, Florida State, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Michigan Stanford, UCLA, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Nebraska and Oregon.
Actually, it's easier to say who hasn't asked Randle to align with their program. Every SEC school has offered except Auburn, Vanderbilt and Kentucky. Two notable programs that haven't offered are Texas and Ohio State - yet.
Randle doesn't appear to be in a rush to make a decision.
"There is going to be a lot of traffic through here this spring," Bastrop High coach Brad Bradshaw predicted.
For now, the burning question isn't where Randle will go to school. When the inevitable barrage of college recruiters descend to Ramland this spring, it will be interesting to see what position they will see Randle play. Ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver in the nation by rivals.com, Randle will get more than a few reps at quarterback next month.

Rueben Randle told ESPN affiliate Web site CrimsonConfidential.com, "Alabama, LSU, Miami-FL, Michigan and USC - those are the main ones I've talked to."
"I've been trying to get (my recruitment) situated, but I have had some family issues. That's really what I'm doing right now. That's my focus, but I will probably start to figure things out in the next few weeks."

ESPN - LSU continues to corral in-state talent - Football Recruiting
Quote:
Top recruit
Rueben Randle, wide receiver
Bastrop, La.
Considering: LSU, Alabama, Michigan, Miami, among others
Rueben Randle proved his worth over the course of his sophomore and junior seasons. And while Louisiana has produced some great receivers since 2006, none have been as good as Randle. The No. 10 player in the country and No. 1 rated wide receiver in the class has been shifted to quarterback for his senior year, further proving his skill level and versatility. His abilities were on display as he and his Bastrop teammates dismantled Dollarway (Ark.) in a 42-6 rout on ESPNU Friday. In the win, Randle rushed and threw for a touchdown.
The 6-foot-3 strider is the ideal blend of size, speed and strength. Though he has his choice of any SEC school or national recruiter, it may be difficult to lure him away from in-state power LSU. However, that doesn't make it a done deal.
Randle made unofficial visits this summer to Miami, Alabama and Cal, and wanting to take his time, expect him to exercise all five allotted official visits before making his final decision.

Randle is starting to narrow things down, and he says he is keying on five schools.
"LSU, Alabama, USC, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State," Randle said.
The only official visit that Randle has scheduled is to Oklahoma State on Nov. 29, when the Cowboys host Oklahoma.
Randle said he will definitely visit Alabama officially, and most likely visit LSU, USC, and Oklahoma officially as well. This weekend, Randle will make the short drive up to Baton Rouge to watch the No. 15-ranked Tigers host No. 1 Alabama.
"I'm going to go Baton Rouge this weekend for an unofficial," he said. "I'm looking to see the offense and everything."
Rumors have been swirling across the Internet that Randle had committed to one school or another, but he says that none of them are true.
"I haven't committed or anything like that," Randle said.
Randle said that he will likely wait until much closer to National Signing Day before making a final decision. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound wide out, who is ranked as the No. 11 overall player in the country in the ESPNU 150, will participate in the annual Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 3 in San Antonio.
