Solon's Morris commits to Hawkeyes

The Iowa coaching staff didn't have to sell the football program to the first member of the Class of 2010.
James Morris knew all about the Hawkeyes, and the sophomore from Solon has been ready to give his verbal commitment to Kirk Ferentz since he was a grade-schooler.
"It made it real easy," Morris said. "They talk about the Iowa football family, and it is an extended family. I knew the coaching staff, and they are great people. There was no other place I wanted to be."
James' father, Greg, is the long-time football equipment manager at the University of Iowa. Because of that, James spent a lot of time at the Iowa football facility watching the coaches and players go through their day-to-day business.
