Iowa has received a Class of 2009 commitment from Dixie Hollins (St. Petersburg, Fla.), athlete Joshua Brown.

The 5-foot-11, 205-pound Brown had recently pledged to Troy as a defensive back. The Hawkeyes offered the prospect a scholarship for offense.

Brown was also recruited with offers from Wake Forest, Louisville, South Florida, Syracuse, Indiana and Western Michigan.
