Boffeli can be a physical run blocking tight end. He has adequate size for the position. Carries good bulk, but on film does not look as tall as he is listed. Makes good initial contact in the run game as an in-line blocker. Will flash the ability to get good hand placement, generate power from the hips, and push a defender off the ball. Displays a solid tenacious attitude as a blocker. Needs to be more consistent in his hand placement and will attack with his forearms. Tends to get up on his toes at times and get overextended when engaged. Does an adequate job of working up to the second level and getting a piece of moving targets. He needs to work on his angles when working up to the second level. He is an adequate blocker is space. Does a solid job of being able to step and reach a defender. Needs to work on taking good steps and get good positioning to help him maintain his blocks. With his size he will be best suited as a mainly a blocker at the college level. He is an adequate receiver. Needs to keep improving as a route runner. Displays adequate speed and will not make many defenders miss at the college level with the ball in his hands. Will be best suited as an outlet in the short passing game. Boffeli is a solid prospect whose best upside is as a blocking tight end.

Conor Boffeli is a 2009 RHP/1B with a 6'5'', 235 lb. frame from West Des Moines, IA who attends Valley HS. Extra strong, well proportioned build. Slow paced delivery, low effort, some high wrap, heavy FB to 87 mph, pounds K zone with it. CB range 66-71, much sharper at higher velos, shows promise. Projects well. Strength in swing, pull approach, can lift his pitch. Very good student, follow closely.

From the Iowa site...took some time away from recruiting to play summer baseball but is looking to get back in contact with the coaches at Iowa and Iowa State.

From the Iowa site. Down to Iowa and Iowa State and says that while ISU is recruiting him at TE, Iowa is recruiting him as an OL. He will decide this week or next and says that the coaching staffs and where he feels most at home will be the school he chooses.

From the ISU site. Committed to Iowa State. In the end, he just felt more comfortable with ISU and the coaches. Connor is happy to be close to home and feels like Iowa State is a program on the rise. He is happy to have his decision over, and is ready to focus on his upcoming season.
