6/5 By Decker...IU is again hoping to land a Boca Ciega star...Julius Forte. Julius talks about how much he likes the IU staff. Has offers from N.C. State, Cincinnati, South Florida and Troy and is getting interest from Iowa, North Carolina, Ole Miss and Tulane.

6/25/08 Up to a dozen offers, the latest being Iowa, UNC, Purdue, and Kentucky. Distance is not a factor, and he doesn't seem to be in a hurry to decide.

I wanted to play at the highest level possible but I also wanted to have that college atmosphere."

8/1 From the Louisville site. Louisville has offered. Forte says he is very excited about the offer, as Louisville is a prestigios school that puts defensive players into the NFL. He has a top five of USF, Kentucky, Louisville, NC State and North Carolina. Education and comfort level will be big factors.

8/10 From the UK site. Forte says everyone who has offered is recruiting him hard and that he is wide open. He is working on setting up official visits, and says that Kentucky is sure to get one. A family atmosphere, the staff and academics will be the most important factors.

8/24 By Y Porter. Recruiting has slowed down for Forte who holds a top seven of USF, NC State, Louisville, North Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana and Tulane. He will take all of his visits, but says he will give a verbal when the time feels right.
