From the Texas site...says he is reluctant to call any school a favorite until he has done more research and made some visits...says new schools like USC, Alabama and ND have entered the picture giving him more to think about.

By B Greene and M Hartman at the Ohio State site. Hicks has offers from almost everyone, and plans to narrow his list by summer. He says that the rumors he is a lock to go anywhere are untrue, and that he is wide open. He talks about Ohio State, Texas and Florida in detail.

Just heard: Lakota West junior LB Jordan Hicks has been offered by University of Southern California, according to LW football coach Larry Cox. Hicks also picked up new offers from Miami (Fla.), Penn State and Syracuse.
Hicks (6-2, 210) also has offers from Texas, Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, Florida, UC, Michigan, NC State, Boston College, Georgia, Stanford, Oregon, Virginia and Notre Dame.
He hopes to have a top 10 list by spring break.

With the addition of offers from Southern Cal, Penn State, Miami (Fla.) and Syracuse today, Lakota West junior LB Jordan Hicks (6-2, 210) is getting closer to having an offer from nearly every major Division I program in the nation. Oklahoma and Florida State are among those that still haven't offered, but I'm sure they could be next.
Keep in mind the Southern Cal offer is very significant because the Trojans are an obvious name brand in college football. They don't throw out early offers lightly - especially for a kid from the Midwest. The national perception is often that an elite prospect from Ohio will want to go to Ohio State or another Big Ten school. But, that's not necessarily always the case.
If you are offered by Southern Cal or any other BCS school for that matter, it's got to be tough as a 17 or 18-year-old to tell Jim Tressel, Pete Carroll, Joe Paterno or Urban Meyer, "thanks, but no thanks."
Remember, Southern Cal lost a few top-notch players to other programs like UCLA in the 2009 class, so the Trojans' coaching staff understands that and I'm sure is motivated by that fact.
Lakota West coach Larry Cox said Southern Cal assistant coach (and former NFL standout) Ken Norton Jr. called him and expressed serious interest with Hicks.
"He said, 'we want a kid like Jordan Hicks. We think we would do well in our program,'" Cox said. "He said, 'he's my No. 1 for linebackers.'"
Cox said the intensity has grown substantially with interest from several recruiting Web sites wanting to speak with Hicks about updates with his recruiting. Hicks will often get a dozen calls a night - many of which go unanswered - and now he is considering changing his cell phone number.
Still, Cox said Hicks hasn't let all the attention disrupt his life. Don't expect Hicks to make a decision anytime soon. His goal is to have a top 10 list by spring break next month.
"I don't expect (Jordan) to be an early commit," Cox said. "He's just a very cool customer - taking everything in stride. He's very humbled by it. He's still one of the guys."

Penn State Makes Their Pitch For Jordan Hicks
It has been a revolving door at West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West as recruiters from all over the country have stopped to check on linebacker Jordan Hicks. Coaches from close to 60 colleges have stopped at Lakota West this spring. A coach from USC was out last week and the Trojans stopped back again this week. In fact coaches from USC and Alabama stopped at Lakota West on Tuesday. The day before coaches from Penn State, Georgia and Michigan stopped at Lakota, and coaches from Florida and Tennessee have been out this week as well.
