It's not like he's an unknown, but if you're looking for a breakout star this year it might be Pike junior wide receiver Dyjuan Lewis.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Lewis already has offers on the table from Indiana, Cincinnati and Eastern Michigan after catching 29 passes last year for 414 yards.

Lewis said Tuesday that he doesn't anticipate that he will commit to a school until next summer.

"He has the talent to be one of the best players in the state," Pike coach Derek Moyers said.

Lewis will be asked to play a bigger role this season with the graduation of several standouts from Pike's Class 5A state runner-up team. Dakotah Tyler, who committed to Cincinnati as a safety, will replace Josh Carpenter at quarterback.

"I'm anxious to get started," Lewis said. "We're going to have a good team."

Indianapolis (Ind.) Pike junior wide receiver Dyjuan Lewis may not be getting a ton of passes thrown his way this season, but colleges have still noticed his talent. The 6'2, 190-lb Lewis picked up recent offers from Indiana, Purdue, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Iowa and Colorado.

Said Red Devils head coach Derek Moyers, "“He went up to Notre Dame a couple weeks ago for the Notre Dame-Purdue game and he’s been up to Purdue to check them out. Michigan State and Kentucky have asked him to come and visit. It’s tough right now for him, he’s so busy, but he’ll make some visits as our season winds down.”
