Talks about his trip to the Spring Game. No offer has been extended to Bud, but the coaches told him to "pick up 15 pounds and he would fit in real well".

I don't see OSU offering, personally. Law of averages. With that being said I would not be surprised to see his offer list expand this summer with a good showing at some camps (not sure if he is on the bus tour or not). If he decides early, one would have to think Illinois is the favorite. If he waits this out then I would say Illinois will be in it until the end, but it will also depend on who else comes through with offers.

This seems like the kind of kid Nebraska would offer...

ESPN - Budmayr proves worth in Columbus - Insider

Quote:
Bud Golden (6-2, 200), Running back (Cincinnati/Sycamore)
In person, Golden fit the great running back measurables we saw on film. He is a tall, well-built kid with the body structure to hold an additional 15-20 pounds of lean bulk to complement his downhill, north-south running style. His frame really impresses you without pads on. While lean, you can see his naturally strong, well-defined upper-body with the broad shoulders to eventually carry more weight and the load as a college running back. We liked Golden's functional strength and physicality fighting off the press from linebackers during the day as well; hands were equally impressive.

Golden To Illinois

Bud Golden Profile

Cincinnaty (OH) Sycamore running back Bud Golden used a recent visit to Illinois to make his college choice.

Golden, who grew up best friends with another Illinois verbal commitment Steve Hull couldn't keep from joing Hull as a member of Illinois Class of 2009.

Many feel Golden was the best running back in Southwest Ohio and one of the best in the state of Ohio.

Sycamore RB Bud Golden, an Illinois recruit, had another huge game in a 44-6 win over Roger Bacon. Golden carried 12 times for 239 yards (19.9 per carry) and three TDs. The week before, he had 352 yards on 19 rushes (18.5 per carry) and three TDs. In the opener, he carried 14 times for 70 yards (5.0 per carry) and two TDs. For the season, that's 45 carries, 661 yards and eight TDs -- and 14.7 yards per carry. The state doesn't list records for yards per carry, but 14.7 would safely lead most leagues.

Sycamore 16, Princeton 14 | Cincinnati Enquirer | Cincinnati.Com

Quote:
Bud Golden had his typically huge game, and his Sycamore defensive teammates also came up huge in a 16-14 win at Princeton Friday night.

Golden, a senior rated as Ohio's top running back by most scouting services, carried 41 times for 209 yards and a touchdown.

The Sycamore defense stopped Princeton’s key man, standout junior quarterback Spencer Ware, on a pivotal 4th-and-1 situation at the Sycamore 24-yard line with 3:24 left.
