Melvin has taken an unofficial visit to tOSU and will be in attendance again this weekend. He has also Illinois last weekend and is hearing from Notre Dame , Wisconsin, Purdue, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, and Northwestern. He says it is a dream to be recruited by tOSU.

By Steve Hare from the ND site...talks about visiting ND for the Navy game and about the strength of the 2008 ND recruiting class. Favors West Virginia, Illinois, Louisville, Purdue, Ohio State and Notre Dame.

Committed to Illinois and is done with recruiting.

To answer your question, I see Melvin as a future strongside DE, not unlike OSU's Cam Heyward. Extremely strong at the point of attack and tenacious against the run. Faced double and triple teams all year and is able to take on multiple blockers because of his sheer strength. A little raw but has the potential to be very good. The big question is whether he will stay at DE or eventually grow into a DT.

By Bill Greene...confirms the earlier report by BK that he is visiting OSU this weekend, depending on whether his father can accompany him or not. Says he does not regret making an early decision to verbal to Illinois.

We've heard that he's not visiting.

*shrug* Guess we'll see soon enough ... although I'm starting to suspect the Ohio State boards just post misinformation on purpose.

They did it plenty with the Cordale Scott recruitment.
