Interest rising for Teal > Palmetto Sports Recruiting News

Quote:
Marlboro County coach Dean Boyd says about 35 recruiters have been thru his school this spring checking on his prospects, and many are focusing on OL/DL Thomas Teal (6-1 325). "South Carolina is real high on him and so is Clemson," Boyd said. "Neither one has offered. "USC wants him as an offensive lineman but they are concerned about his height. Coach Wolford (USC OL coach) loves him. Coach Steele (Clemson recruiter) likes him a lot as a defensive lineman." Boyd said he will take Teal and several other players on a tour of camps this summer including stops at USC and Clemson. Teal has been offered by Georgia Tech, Illinois and NC State. He's also getting interest from North Carolina. "He's high on USC but NC State is making a strong push," Boyd said.
