WR Jaquain Brantley (5-11 170) of Marlboro County is favoring North Carolina. He has a single offer from Illinois but is hearing from Georgia Tech, NC State, and UNC. He says neither USC or Clemson has shown interest. Brantley visited State last year for a football team and enjoyed the visit. "It's nice up there," he said. "Not too hot...not too cold and I liked the atmosphere. It was cool hanging around the locker room." Brantley wants to go to State for a day camp this summer. He also wants to go to Illinois. "Since they've already offered me, I liked to see what they're all about and go to a day camp up there," said Brantley. He says his favorite is North Carolina. "I like their basketball program and what they are doing with the football program," he said. "I think they are getting better. I like the academics they offer too."
