Film: My Take: Josh is massive compared to most of the kids in this film, but he does not dominate like I expected. Average explosiveness, does not use his hands well, and is not sharp in his movements. From the ND site...will be at ND's junior day this weekend...hearing from the likes of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Michigan State and Cincinnati...says Northwestern, Ohio State and Illinois stand out early in the process.

Josh Davis, Jonathan Alder Defensive Tackle

Watching the 6'6" 270 lbs nose tackle's film makes you realize why colleges are recruiting him early. Davis recently told us about his ability to lead on the field and off the field. "I'm a leader not only on the field but in the weight room and in class." he said this week. "I've been told by every coach that I've have had, that I'm very coachable."

Local NFL product Mike Furrey was in town over the off-season awaiting a new contract and Davis got a chance to workout with the Central Ohio legend. "The highlight of my high school career was lifting with Mike Furrey." he reported about the event.

Ohio kicker lands SEC offer - ESPN

Defensive tackle Josh Davis (Plain City, Ohio/Jonathan Alder) has received his second scholarship offer. He landed a scholarship offer from Indiana in mid-February and just added an offer from Purdue.

He is originally from Bluffton, Ind., but he moved to Plain City, Ohio, after his freshman year and has been a two-year starter for Jonathan Alder. The 6-6, 270-pounder made 74 tackles including two sacks during his junior season.

Davis has attended junior days at Indiana, Cincinnati, Notre Dame and Northwestern. He has visited Ohio State, Illinois and Vanderbilt -- but currently doesn't have a favorite.
