Fiedorowicz is a 6-7, 238-pounder with 4.55 speed who bench-presses 315 pounds and cleans 275. He is a wide receiver and middle linebacker.
Last fall, he caught 65 passes for 1,060 yards and 14 touchdowns and led his team with 73 tackles.
''People are just beginning to find out about this kid,'' Johnsburg coach Todd Winter said. ''Most of them can't believe he is a sophomore. Notre Dame came in last week and was very impressed. People look at him and can't believe how athletic he is.''
Fiedorowicz, who is so unassuming that he rides his bicycle around town, was all-conference in football, basketball and baseball.
But he now understands that football is his priority, that he can play football in college, maybe in the NFL.
''Potentially, he can be a tight end in the NFL,'' Winter said. ''I've been coaching for 12 years and I've had 17 Division I players and two kids who played in the NFL. But I've never had a kid who was so athletic. He'll have as many offers as he wants.''
Northwestern, Oklahoma, Missouri, Purdue, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana have requested film. Florida and UCLA have expressed interest. But it's early in the recruiting process and the phone is just beginning to ring.
''He will be the most recruited player from McHenry County ever, more than Jace Saylor from McHenry,'' Winter said. ''Everybody will come in this spring to get a look at him. He will be able to pick his school.''

ESPN - Wisconsin looks outside its state borders - Football Recruiting

One of the country's top Class of 2010 tight end prospects also happens to be an outstanding basketball prospect. Johnsburg, Ill., star C.J. Fiedorowicz has a scholarship offer on the table from Notre Dame football coach Charlie Weis. He also has basketball and football scholarship offers from Indiana. Among the many other football programs showing strong interest are Ohio State, Wisconsin, Illinois, Arizona and UCLA.
The 6-foot-7, 240-pound Fiedorowicz caught 63 passes for 1,072 yards and 15 touchdowns during his sophomore season. He also averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds on the basketball court. Fiedorowicz says he will play football in college.
Fiedorowicz is one of the Class of 2010 prospects to watch in the Big Ten region. Some others include offensive lineman Christian Lombard from Palatine (Ill.) Fremd, offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson from St. Paul (Minn.) Cretin-Derham, linebacker Jamel Turner from Youngstown (Ohio) Ursuline, offensive lineman Matt James from Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier, running back Corey Brown from Springfield (Pa.) Cardinal O'Hara, quarterback Robert Bolden from Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary's and quarterback Devin Gardner from Inkster, Mich. All of those prospects already have Division I scholarship offers on the table.

Johnsburg (Ill.) High School Junior, C.J. Fiedorowicz, is quickly becoming one of the hottest prospects in the class of 2010. The 6-foot-7 wide receiver has pulled in a total of seven offers, including a recent verbal offer from LSU.
Fiedorowicz a has received offers from Notre Dame, Indiana, Arizona, Iowa, Wisconsin, Duke and a recent verbal offer from LSU. Several other BCS programs, including USC are keeping a close eye on the three-sport athlete.
While a freshman at Johnsburg, Fiedorowicz competed at the varsity level in football, basketball and baseball. Notre Dame was the first school to offer him, but the recent verbal offer from LSU's Tight Ends coach, Josh Henson, has Fiedorowicz thinking about playing in warm weather. "LSU gave me a verbal offer a couple weeks ago," Fiedorowicz said. "My high school coach, Todd Winter, sent video down there for me-I didn't know he did. Coach Winter called me into his office one day and he was on the phone with Coach Henson and that's when they verbally offered me."
