I don't know why but I have a feeling Illinois will jump up seriously when he visits. I hope they can land him. He is better than Brandon Green and I personally would like to have Jenkins over Green. Jenkins has sub 4.4 speed and he's 6'1 and 180. I would like both but if I had to choose, Jenkins>>>>Green. Let's hope the Jacksonville ties come through.

Two Schools Visit Jenkins
By Phil Kornblut
WR A.J. Jenkins (6-2 180) of Jacksonville was visited Monday by coaches from Illinois and Florida. And he expects USC recruiter Steve Spurrier Jr. to come by in a couple of weeks. Jenkins said his focus right now is on USC, Florida, Illinois and West Virginia. He has taken an official visit to Illinois and he went to Florida unofficially for the Florida State game. He will visit West Virginia January 18th and he plans to set a visit with USC. He does not have a favorite.

Parker receiver commits to Illini
A.J. Jenkins picks Illinois over Florida and West Virginia.
By JEFF ELLIOTT, The Times-Union
The pipeline of Jacksonville football players trekking 900 miles north to the University of Illinois continues with Parker wide receiver A.J. Jenkins the latest area player to commit to coach Ron Zook and the Illini.
Jenkins had committed to Georgia Tech in August but backed off on that commitment when reports about Tech coach Chan Gailey's possible dismissal were rumored during the season. Even before Gailey's firing several weeks ago, Jenkins had a change of heart following a visit to the Champaign campus for Illinois' regular season finale against Northwestern. That trip cemented his choice of the Illini over Florida and West Virginia.

This gifted athlete caught 41 passes for 515 yards and four touchdowns to go along with 251 yards rushing as a senior. Look for Jenkins to get playing time as a true freshman. He is very similar to Belle Glade (Fla.) Glades Central star and current Pittsburgh Steeler Santonio Holmes who had an outstanding career in the Big Ten with Ohio State. He has great body control and enough speed to take short passes and make them long gains or to just get deep.
Look for Jenkins to be the third receiver option for the Illini as a freshman. He should compliment Arrelious Benn and give Juice Williams another option to throw to in the spread offense.

I'm giddy over the comparison to Santonio Holmes... and I think Jenkins has the makings for a fabulous true frosh campaign.
I'm also confused as I have no idea who the bow-tie dude is on the left. Which may explain why nobody mentioned it earlier... too obscure (or I'm just too out-of-touch).
