Centennial DE Cummings a recruit to watch | College recruiting | ajc.com

Centennial defensive end Euclid Cummings picked up scholarship offers from Middle Tennessee State and Indiana last week.
“And West Virginia is about to offer,” Centennial coach Jeff Measor said Wednesday evening.
Relatively new to football, Cummings’ stock should rise during camps this summer.
“He’s only played for a year,” Measor said. “A lot of schools want him to go to camp so they can watch him run some.
“There’s a few SEC schools interested in him. He’ll be a pretty high recruit this summer.”

Centennial High School (GA) usually fields a hard-nosed football team. The past few years have not seen the type of smash-mouth players take the field and as a result, success has been somewhat of a stranger. Those days appear to be over, though, as players like Euclid Cummings have brought an entirely new attitude to the gridiron.

Three Centennial players visit South Carolina | College recruiting | ajc.com
Quote:
Centennial senior defensive end Euclid Cummings and junior teammates David Yankey and Ben Carpenter spent Sunday afternoon in Columbia working out for South Carolina coaches.
The Gamecocks are intrigued by Cummings, who has played just one year of organized football. South Carolina wound up offering Cummings late Sunday afternoon.
“It’s a camp, but basically it’s a private workout with the kids,” Centennial coach Jeff Measor said.
“They want to see them do a few things for about 30 minutes.”
Cummings, who already had scholarship offers from Central Florida, Indiana, Maryland, N.C. State and Middle Tennessee State, will visit Auburn on Saturday.
Cummings and his two junior teammates have been invited to Georgia on July 18.
“Euclid is probably a longshot with Georgia, but David will be in the mix there,” Measor said. “David Yankey will be one of the highest rated kids in Atlanta next year.”

DE Euclid Cummings (6-3 235) of Roswell, GA took the SAT last weekend and will setup his official visits once his score returns. Right now he's looking at USC, Tennessee and North Carolina for visits. USC offered back in the spring and Cummings said he last heard from recruiter Ron Cooper about a month ago. He's hearing the most from Georgia Tech and North Carolina. He won't spend an official visit to Georgia Tech since he lives about ten minutes from campus. Cummings does not have a favorite.

From the GT site. Cummings is focused on Georgia Tech, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee with the Jackets leading. His comfort level while on visits will be his deciding factor.
