Here is your thread for general discussion, articles, musings, venting, etc. leading up and including the events on Wednesday...
ESPNU has Signing Day covered - Insider - ESPN
Quote:
For the fourth year in a row, ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network, will headline ESPN's multi-network coverage of National Signing Day with a comprehensive studio show, "ESPNU Recruiting Insider: National Signing Day", Wednesday, Feb. 4. This year's show will increase from seven hours to nine hours beginning at 10 a.m. through 7 p.m. ET. Lowell Galindo will host the Signing Day special along with ESPN's Scouts, Inc. national recruiting director Tom Luginbill, ESPNU college football analyst Charles Arbuckle and former Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville. David Amber will anchor another news desk at the Charlotte studios that will track notable developments and offer additional analysis and commentary from two more ESPN Scouts, Inc. analysts -- Craig Haubert and Bill Conley. The show will also integrate fan comments from ESPN.com and ESPNU.com and will feature a matrix graphic that will display constant updates of school recruiting classes.
Several players ranked by the ESPNU 150 are expected to announce their decision live, including No. 2 Manti Te'o, OLB (Punahou/Honolulu, Hawaii); No. 4 Dre Kirkpatrick, CB (Gadsden/Gadsden, Ala.); No. 9 Jelani Jenkins, OLB (Good Counsel/Wheaton, Md.); No. 24 Marlon Brown, WR, (Harding Academy/Memphis, Tenn.); No. 27 Sam Montgomery, DE (Greenwood/Greenwood, S.C.); No. 29 Frankie Telfort, OLB (Gulliver Prep School/Miami, Fla.); No. 35 Xavier Su'a-Filo, OT (Timpview/Pleasant Grove, Utah); No. 39 Darren Myles, Jr., S (Carver/Atlanta, Ga.); No. 66 Kendall Kelly, WR (Gadsen/Gadsen, Ala.) and No. 71 Bryon Moore, Jr., ATH (Narbonne/Harbor City, Calif.).

Man, it looks like Michigan might have a rough NSD. Pearlie Graves and DeQuinta Jones are far from locks, and it doesn't look all that great for Denard Robinson, Je'Ron Stokes and Quinton Washington. Adrian Witty is a maybe as well.

Jelani's coach thinks it will be UF....as do most people that enjoy following recruiting. ;( I'll still hold out hope, but it isn't looking all that positive for PSU right now. USC guys think he is 100% PSU, and some PSU people still think it is up in the air but I'm not holding my breath. Too bad, he would have been an awesome addition and very well could've been the face of PSU's program for the 4-5 years to follow...at UF he'll still be an unbelievable "get", but probably more in line with being 'just another guy'. He isn't going to make or break anything at PSU, but he is the kind of talent you just have to get...thankfully we have '10 PA LB Mike Hull (6'1 216) on board...coaches are telling him he'll get on the field as soon as he is ready at OLB, and will have the chance to play some S in cover 2.
If DE WR Justin Brown doesn't commit to PSU, I'll freak...must get. Doesn't look like anything too dramatic for PSU on signing day...keep fingers crossed that all LOIs arrive, get DE WR Justin Brown, and see what is up with MA CB/S Jim Noel...thats about it from what I can tell. Really excited to get '10 under way.

Kentucky fans are making a bunch of noise over a possible silent verbal to be revealed tomorrow.
Their fans have tossed out several possible names, including OSU verbals Justin Green and Jordan Whiting.
Tennessee looks like they are going to close strong as well.

UW has a Two possible more commits(and maybe one of the weirdest recruiting sagas ever)
Kraig Appleton-his mom wants him at UW reportedly, and he wants to go to Illinois wonder who wins Mom or son
Brad Mcdougald-committed to KU, and is having second thoughts.
both would be huge gets for Wisconsin.

Others are the beneficiaries of graduation and/or a change of coaching philosophy, among other things. Each of our experts picked three recruits who they believe will make a splash in 2009.

I might be able to see Green, but I doubt it's Whiting.

I know someone who spoke to Whiting a little while ago and he laughed at the idea.
As for Green, according to a poster on the free board Bucknuts, Justin's brother Marcus says the rumor is false.
