with the transfer of Threet to Michigan, that'll be 3 Elite 11 QB's on UM's roster in '08 with Mallett, Threet, and Wienke (assuming he signs).

And all will have the chance to work under one of the best QB coaches around...

Anywhoo, isn't Loeffler from Ohio? He was a pretty prized QB recruit himself and was in-line to take over before he tore his shoulder which wound up being the end of his football career.

thanks for the link.
Although it does look like a down year in comparison to last years Elite 11.
But then again 2007 was just a ridiculous QB class.

Why pryor chose not to participate in any Elite 11 tryouts is beyond my comprehension. As the number 1 QB in the country and the one with the most upside, he has nothing to lose by participating and everything to gain.
But he has been consistent with his stance of not going to camps this summer, so theres that

Pryor didn't go because you have to try out to go, and with basketball and all he didn't get a chance to try out.
No biggie though, Jimmy Clausen didn't go last year and he remained the #1 player all year by Rivals (the site that promotes/covers Elite 11), and I think Pryor will be ranked #1 all year as well.

Rivals.com recruiting analyst Jeremy Cragtree breaks down what went down at the 2007 EA Sports Elite 11 quarterback camp. Did Nebraska commit Blaine Gabbert prove he's a five-star recruit? Did fellow Rivals100 prospects E.J. Manuel, Dayne Crist, and Andrew Luck improve their stock? Rivals.com AMP let's you take a look at each participant at the camp.

Actually being the #1 QB it would be the opposite. He would have been expected to be the best QB there. If he didn't perform well, he could have slipped in the rankings. So technically, everything to lose and nothing to gain.
