Sanders Planning Two March Visits
By Phil Kornblut
WR Rico Sanders (5-11 180) of Byrnes had planned to visit Georgia and Clemson last week but those trips didn't materialize. So Sanders will make those visits in March. He's looking at Clemson's junior day March 8th and two weeks later he will be in Athens. Sanders now has offers from Clemson, Georgia, Florida and Florida State. He's also hearing from USC, NC State and Maryland. "I like Clemson but it's all even among the schools that have offered," Sanders said.

WR Rico Sanders (5-11 185) of Byrnes said Wednesday an offer from USC is in his future. "They plan to offer me as soon as I get in touch with coach Lawing," Sanders said. He has offers from Clemson, Georgia, Florida and Florida State while NC State, Maryland and Tennessee are showing interest. Sanders attended Georgia's practice last Saturday. "I like how they were always moving like we do," he said. "They want me down there but they aren't putting too much pressure on me." He also has been to Clemson and USC and plans to visit Florida State over spring break next week. Sanders said Clemson's Billy Napier has been recruiting him the hardest of all the coaches. "I call him every now and then," he said. "He talks to my coaches and tells them I'm a perfect fit for the program. Clemson is still my favorite, but it's not that big of a margin. Clemson shows me the most love. The rest are tied for second."

From he Clemson site. Sanders says he is wide open, but names Clemson, South Carolina, and Auburn as the schools recruiting him the hardest. He has former teammates at Clemson, who are pushing hard to get him there.

WR Rico Sanders (5-11 185) of Byrnes High School is considering a visit to Columbia this weekend to take in the USC/Georgia football game. USC has offered Sanders and they are on his list. Sanders other offers are from Clemson, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Auburn, and Maryland. He says his top four are USC, Florida, FSU, and Auburn but that he is keeping an open mind about each school that has offered. "I really want to consider every school right now. I don't have any favorites." Sanders says that the graduation rates of football players and the depth chart at wide receiver are his two most important factors in deciding on a school. He does not, however, consider early playing time an issue. "I know I'm going to do what I do so I'm not really worried about that (redshirting)." He indicated that if he were to redshirt, it would be because he was not ready to play. He has not scheduled any of his official visits and says he will wait for the right time. Sanders runs a 4.4 40.

Sanders To Take In Tennessee Game
By Eric Guimaraes
WR Rico Sanders (5-11 185) of Byrnes says he is planning to attend the USC/Tennessee game this weekend at Williams-Brice Stadium. Sanders has not narrowed his list but did say that USC, Florida, FSU, and Auburn are the schools showing the most interest. He spoke with Billy Napier of Clemson after Saturday's game at Dorman and says he believes Clemson is back in the picture with him. Sanders does not know where he will take his officials yet but says he will likely take one to USC and another to Clemson. He has offers from Clemson, USC, Georgia, Florida, FSU, and Maryland. NC State and Tennessee are also showing interest. He does not have a leader.
